Listed for 12 Consecutive Years! Coretronic Ranks in the Top 5% of TPEx-Listed Companies in the Corporate Governance Evaluation
The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) have announced the results of the 12th (2025) Corporate Governance Evaluation and held an awards ceremony today (26th) to honor the top-performing enterprises. Out of 1,810 listed companies, Coretronic Corporation (5371) delivered a stellar performance, ranking in the top 5% among TPEx-listed companies for the twelfth consecutive year and demonstrating its benchmarking position in corporate governance. Chief Financial Officer and Sustainability Committee Member Frank Ho represented the company at the ceremony to accept the award.
This year's Corporate Governance Evaluation assessed corporate governance performance across four major categories with a total of 70 indicators: “Protecting Shareholder Rights and Interests and Treating Shareholders Equitably,” “Enhancing Board Structure and Operation,” “Increasing Information Transparency,” and "Promoting Sustainable Development.” Coretronic achieved a perfect score in the “Enhancing Board Structure and Operation” category, fully demonstrating the solid foundation of its corporate governance system and the achievements of its continuous improvements. Compared to the previous evaluation, this iteration increased the number of indicators and the scoring weight for the “Promoting Sustainable Development” category. This not only responds to the high level of public concern regarding sustainability issues but also lays the foundation for transitioning to the future “ESG Evaluation.”
A total of 1,810 enterprises were evaluated this year, including 1,009 listed companies and 801 TPEx-listed companies, representing an increase of 56 companies from the previous year and making the overall competition more intense. Among the 40 TPEx-listed companies ranked in the top 5%, Coretronic and 7 other enterprises have maintained their top 5% ranking for twelve consecutive years. Despite the growing number of evaluated companies and increasingly stringent evaluation standards year after year, Coretronic has consistently maintained its excellent and stable performance, proving its mature capabilities and leadership position in the field of corporate governance.
Coretronic utilizes the “Corporate Governance Best Practice Principles for TWSE/TPEx Listed Companies” as the core guideline for its corporate governance operations, actively enhancing the quality and transparency of operational and financial information disclosure. The company strictly complies with relevant laws and regulations regarding corporate governance and internal management mechanisms, strengthening operational supervision and management through the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee, and Nomination Committee. Furthermore, in 2025, the company officially integrated “Annual Material Topics” and “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” into the compensation mechanisms for the Chairman, President, and CFO. Specific weights linked to sustainability performance were designed based on executive functions and responsibilities, successfully linking ESG performance with executive compensation to ensure corporate decisions closely align with long-term value creation.
The company has also been selected for constituents of indices such as the “TPEx FactSet Climate Resilience Index” and the “TPEx Shareholder Value High Dividend Index.” Concurrently, Coretronic was included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026 and received the “Industry Mover” award. It has also garnered major governance-related accolades, including the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) for “Platinum Award—Corporate Sustainability Reporting” , “Taiwan’s Top 100 Sustainable Companies Award,” and "Transparency and Integrity Leadership Award,” alongside the “Top 100—CommomWealth Talent Sustainability Award”, fully demonstrating its outstanding performance in sustainable governance.
In terms of sustainability governance, Coretronic has established a ESG Committee, with the Chairman serving as the chairperson. By integrating the Environmental Protection Committee, the Sustainable Energy Committee, and the TCFD and TNFD teams, the company formulates concrete sustainability goals and drives related strategies in accordance with international sustainability standards. The ESG Committee also regularly reports sustainability achievements and quarterly greenhouse gas (GHG) implementation status to the Board of Directors. Furthermore, it submits annual material topics and the sustainability report to the Board for review and approval, further deepening the Board's decision-making and oversight functions in sustainability governance.
Regarding climate governance, the company has, for the first time, converted climate risks and opportunities into concrete financial impact indicators. Through monetization assessments, the company accurately grasps the financial impacts of these risks, further strengthening the link between financial resilience and business strategies. In addition, the company officially obtained approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2024, committing to “Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50.4% by 2032 from a 2021 base year, and reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions 30% within the same timeframe.” In 2025, Coretronic's absolute GHG emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) decreased by 45% compared to the base year (2021), and Scope 3 achieved a significant reduction of 88%. These results vastly outperform the SBT reduction pathway, steadily advancing the company toward its 2050 net-zero goal.
Looking forward, Coretronic will continue to take integrity-based governance as its cornerstone, cultivate its sustainable development strategies, and actively strengthen organizational climate resilience. The company will deepen collaboration with value chain partners and work together with stakeholders to advance diversity, inclusion, and sustainability practices. While safeguarding long-term corporate value, the company will continuously expand its positive impact on society, steadily achieving its sustainable development goals.
